Doreen Tomaino

Our optical and office manager, Doreen has been in the optical business for over 23 years. Her experience has spanned optometry as well as pediatric ophthalmology settings. Four years ago Doreen underwent RK surgery to correct her nearsightedness and now uses glasses to assist with night driving and mainly for fashion. Doreen loves kids and has an extreme interest in the pediatric patients that come in to the office. The kids love her right back!
With so many years in the optical business Doreen has a vast knowledge of frames and the best lenses needed for any prescription.
Doreen has three children. Her interests include reading, the Sopranos TV program, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and spending time with her family.

Carol Ungano
|
Carol manages our front desk appointment scheduling and can answer any insurance questions you may have. Carol has 15 yrs experience in the optical field. She worked previously with Dr. Carotenuto for 12 years when he was an associate with Dr. Anthony Micale in Holmdel.
She co-managed the Optical shop as a frame consultant and the fitting and dispensing of glasses. With her experience she also can assist you with your choice of frames and lenses, for work or play. She can also work with contact lens patients. Carol is especially happy when she can help the kids choose the right glasses.
Spring is Carol’s favorite season, when she likes to garden and take long walks with her Dachshund Murphy. Also at this time of year she takes her annual vacation with her husband Ted to the island of Aruba. When you are here for your next visit, ask her about her favorite island.

Karen
|
Karen has joined our staff to work at the front desk and handles appointments, orders, financial and insurance transactions. She is currently a student attending Brookdale Community College for nursing. She plans on getting her Bachelors in the near future, attending either Rutgers or Monmouth University. Karen is also working in the ACME bakery decorating cakes twice a week. In her spare time she likes to go to the beach, have coffee with friends, and go out to eat.
